Getting A Library Card

Library Card Application Requirements

Library Cards are free to residents of Newton County and those who own property or work in Newton County.

Applicants for a library card must provide the following:

1.  Name
2.  Current Address
3.  Telephone Number
4.  Date of Birth
5.  A primary identification in printed form, showing the current address.  (Driver's License or Arkansas ID).  If the primary ID does not show the current address, any of the following may be used as a secondary ID in addition to the primary ID, provided they show the current address:
    - Utility bill (electric, gas, water, cable t.v.)
    - Printed check
    - Tax receipt
    - Car registration
    - Rent receipt

Any patron under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  ID as outlined above and the signature of the parent or legal guardian is required.

Handwritten receipts are not acceptable.
