Newton County Library

Newton County Library card holders may borrow (check out) up to a total of 20 items including 4 DVD's  or VHS tapes.  DVD's and VHS tapes have a check out time of 1 week while all other materials may be checked out for 3 weeks.

When an item is on loan, a patron may request that it be put on hold for them.  They will be notified when it is returned and it will be held at the front desk for up to one week for them.  The due date for any checked out item may be extended for an additional standard checkout period.  Patrons may renew items by phone.

The library has a 3 day grace period for returning items past their due date.  After that time, the late fee is 10 cents per day per item.
