Adult Programs
At Newton County Library, we strive to provide educational and entertaining Adult Programs throughout the month. Crafting programs are also quite popular. Each month, the events will be posted and announced. Suggestions on topics of interest are welcomed by the Adult Programs Coordinator. You can email your suggestions to newtonark@yahoo.com or by writing to the library. You can also reach us by phone, at 870-446-2983 to submit suggestions.
Craft Programs
We hold several crafting programs throughout the year. Due to supply needs, crafting programs often require sign-up. We always have a sign-up sheet available at the library's front desk, or you can sign-up by calling us at 870-446-2983.
Minimal fees are sometimes required, depending on the activity.

Topical Adult Programs
We offer a wide variety of topical programs. From learning how to build your own hot-box garden to studying native plants with an expert on hand... Adult Programs bring instruction and education to the community. Add some music every now and then and refreshments, and you're bound to have a good time at one of our programs...
Annual Events
Annual events such as the CAAH! (Conserving Arkansas Agricultural Heritage) Heirloom Seed Swap are a bit hit locally. Many gardners - experienced and not - enjoy the swap as a continued effort to document heirloom seeds and maintain the diversity and heritage of these old varieties. This event is held in the Spring of each year. Watch for dates and times!
Newtonians Book Club
This book club meets once a month on the second Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m. Their next scheduled meeting is Saturday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. If you are interested in joining the Newtonians, please contact the library for more information.
